Logi is an easy pattern for a beanie and scarf for your newborn, your kid or yourself. The beanie is baggy and has a folded egde. The cowl scarf fits around your head two times and isn’t too tight around the neck.
Fabrics: The Logi beanie is designed for stretch fabrics.
An ideal fabric is ribbing. This fabric is perfect for a beanie and stretches well. Of course, you can just as well use stretchy nicky velour, french terry, sponge, jersey, stretchy bamboo, … . For the scarf all types of fabrics can be used and here you can also vary for the two sides, for example a teddy fabric on one side and a cheerful cotton or neutral double gauze on the other side. We also used ribbing here in the same color as the hat and combined with a contrasting color of ribbing. This way, hat and scarf are a nice little set.

Logi is the Norwegian name for fire, warmth. And that matches perfectly with a pattern for a nice cozy beanie and scarf. The beanie has a folded edge and sits high at the head (quite baggy) and the scarf is a cowl scarf. You can wear it doubled around your neck. It is nice and wide and not too close around the neck. Make it for yourself or for your newborn baby. Or for someone somewhere in between. 😉
